Disabled friendly but we do have gravel paths
around the Park.
Only an hour from London, and near to Reading and Basingstoke, Wellington Country Park is a perfect choice for the whole family.
Featuring 350 acres of woodland, parkland and lakes, the Park is part of the estate of the Duke of Wellington, and is close to Stratfield Saye House, home of the Dukes of Wellington.
The Park boasts a wealth of attractions and activity, with nature trails, picnic and barbeque areas, space for relaxation or games and plenty of activities for families and visitors of all ages, including the dog. Older children will enjoy the fantastic adventure playground and a round of crazy golf, while younger members of the family will love the miniature railway, sand pit and the childrens animal farm.
Please note that bicycles are not allowed in the Park.
A wide variety of themed events are held throughout the season, providing plenty of excellent reasons to spend the day with us!
If you do not plan to bring a picnic, we have a lakeside cafeteria serving sandwiches, hot snacks and cool drinks throughout the day. Our coffee shop serves tea, fresh coffee, hot chocolate, cake and Wellington dairy ice cream. The gift shop has a variety of toys, souvenirs and unique gifts.
Day fishing is available on the small lake, Visitors are welcome to bring their own sailing or rowing boats.
A small additional fee is payable for crazy golf and train rides
Day fishing tickets available for adults, and children / Seniors and are inclusive of Park admission and fishing 2 rods.
The Park has a well-equipped touring caravan and campsite. Tariff and booking details may be found on this website. Caravan and club rallies, youth groups, company picnics and barbecues can be easily arranged, from 20 - 5,000 people. School groups are also welcomed.
