    The Wedgwood Visitor Centre is like no other factory visit - not only will you find rare and valuable exhibits tracing the rich history of the company but you will also experience the whole production process from raw clay to throwing, forming and casting, glazing, firing and decorating. You can even try your hand at the potters wheel! The story of Wedgwood is told through film, exhibits, and interactive displays. You will watch potters and decorators at work and be taken into the factory itself where you can witness at first hand, the latest technology blended with production and design techniques developed by Josiah himself in the 18th century.

    The Wedgwood Group - Factory Shop, King Street, Fenton sells a wide range of products from The Wedgwood Group including Coalport figures designed and made by Staffordshire craftsmen.

    Creating the Wedgwood DecorationFiring Systems

    You will find rare and valuable exhibits, tracing the rich history of the Wedgwood company. Visitors can enter the factory floor to see the production process from raw clay to throwing, forming and casting, glazing, firing and decoration.

    Visitors will be able to enjoy unrestricted views of Wedgwoods futuristic cup handling machines and spectacular glazing and firing systems on the new expanded factory tour. Be amazed as you tour this huge manufacturing complex, believed to be the most modern of its type in the world. There will also be the opportunity to visit the Coalport and Masons factory here at Barlaston to view how the companys exquisite figurine and hand crafted giftware is manufactured.

    How To Find Us

  • From M1, exit at Junction 24 (southbound), or Junction 23A (northbound).
  • Follow A50 to Stoke-on-Trent. Exit at A5035, signposted Longton/Trentham and then Trentham.
  • Approx one mile further on, turn left, signposted Wedgwood and Barlaston
