Now it is also the only remaining Napoleonic fort left in Yorkshire.

    Fascinating Waxworks Displays

The spectacular historical scenes are to be discovered in our underground labyrinths. A tremendous array of wax-works creations, created and produced by our own unit, interpret Fort Paulls operations and globally momentous connections.

Their enlightening and enchanting features make this attraction one of the most enjoyable amalgamations of education and entertainment around.

There is a second fortress system underground at Fort Paull, with two tunnels leading to both single and double two-storey Caponieres (each a remarkable fort within a fort), and underground labyrinths and passages leading to Paulls Fortress Vaults, military hospital and apothecary, gun and bomb stores,WRNS, and radio bases.

Among the vast array of artefacts on display is the death mask of Goering, and replicas of the Crown Jewels.

    The Fort Paull Armouries

Fort Paull has a fascinating multitude of rare period and contemporary artillery presented in conjunction with THE ROYAL ARMOURIES of Great Britain. To compliment the artillery pieces, there are classic military vehicles, armoured cars and live working mechanisms.
