Die Schweizerische Parkinsonvereinigung (SPaV

Both in French/GermanDie Schweizerische Parkinsonvereinigung (SPaV) braucht neue Adressen!

World Parkinson Disease Association

I am not a neurologist and I am not a patient, but I have been involved with Parkinson’s disease for the last 38 years as one of the founders of The American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc. (APDA) and its Director of Scientific and Medical Affairs. It is well known that Parkinson’s disease (PD) does not recognize political borders or discriminates against religion, ethnical origin, age or sex. Furthermore, the Parkinson patients are quite different from those with other chronic ailments since they are considerably more interested in obtaining as much information as possible about their disease. We are also aware that patients familiar with their ailment usually can take better control of their lives and are able to assist the medical and paramedical professionals in providing them with a better quality of life.
