the mountain Ben Cruachan is difficult to make disabled friendly but new coaches and lifts are being introduced to make this possible for 2005.
Cruachan Power Station was the first high head reversible pump storage station to be built in the world. It is operated by Scottishpower. The station is situated on the North bank of Lochawe, 19 miles east of Oban on the A85.

Looking after the needs of families with a disabled member, a 2 bedroom self-catering chalet has been specifically designed and built to CATEGORY 1, STB **** GRADED specifications. It sleeps, very comfortably 3 persons, an extra space saver bed is also available. The toilet has special handles and the "wheel in " shower has a folding seat and is fully accessible. A wall mounted hair dryer is included.
The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, ceramic hob cooker, oven/grill and microwave oven, all fully accessible to a wheelchair user. The living room is well furnished and includes television and video. The dining area has a superb view of the mountains.
Parking is opposite the chalet where a ramp leads directly to the door.
They own a caravan park with new amenity block, with fully accessible toilet and shower facilities.

Two lifts and a staircase offer easy access from the reception area down to the displays, which are 8 metres below ground level. Although some of the streets are cobbled, there are no steps to climb and plenty of seats throughout the museum.

There is good access and excellent facilities for all those with disabilities. Necessary helpers are admitted free of charge.

Two Rivers Restaurant at Hull`s award winning aquarium The Deep is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm. Enjoy contemporary a la carte dining in the licensed Two Rivers Restaurant with river views. The restaurant has ample parking and is a non-smoking venue.
The Deep is well catered for visitors with disabilities and additional needs. Visitors who wish to discuss their requirements further please call 01482 381000 (option 3) Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm.
The disabled entrance is located on the left hand side of the building adjacent to disabled parking, and the reception desk with a low level counter located directly ahead of this entrance. No queuing is involved for disabled visitors.
The Deep is based on three levels all of which are accessible by lift. The route, which you will take around the attraction, is gently sloped and accessible for wheelchair users.

Designed to look after the needs of families with a disabled member, this spacious, two-bedroom self-catering chalet is built to Category 1, Scottish Tourist Board (STB) Four-Star Graded specifications.
It very comfortably sleeps three and an extra space-saver bed is also available. The bathroom is fully-accessible, with a ‘wheel-in’ shower with folding seat and toilet with special handles.
A wall-mounted hairdryer is included. In the kitchen, the washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, ceramic hob cooker, oven/grill and microwave oven are all fully accessible to a wheelchair-user. The living room is well-furnished and includes television and video. The dining area offers a superb view of the mountains.
Parking is opposite the chalet, where a ramp leads directly to the door.

Just 2 miles west of the village of Drumnadrochit - (shops/restaurants/Loch Ness Monster Museum) on Loch Ness between Inverness (half-hour`s drive) and Fort William (one hour`s drive) - this attractive, detached cottage at Polmaily is set on a hillside above the wooded valley of the River Enrick - off the beaten tourist track and ideally placed for exploring all the magnificent Highland scenery which surrounds them. Just 3 miles south is Castle Urquhart on the side of Loch Ness where `monster` sightings have been recorded. To the west is Hamish Macbeth`s `Plockton` and The Isle of Skye and northwards is the stunning scenery of Glen Affric where `The Last of The Mohicans` was filmed in this miniature Canadian Rockies like scenery many years ago.
