The Royal Air Force Museum has FREE ADMISSION AND PARKING and full disabled access with:

  • Lifts and wide spaced walkways
  • Disabled toilets
  • Reserved disabled parking
  • Wheelchairs which can be booked in advance.
  • Helpful staff are also available on hand to assist with almost anything.
  • Fully accessible Restaurant and Café


    Wing your way over to the Royal Air Force Museum and soar through the history of aviation from the earliest balloon flights to the latest Eurofighter. Gaze at a world-class collection of over 100 aircraft, aviation/wartime memorabilia and artefacts together with an awe inspiring sound and light show that takes you back in time to the Battle of Britain. The Aeronauts Interactive Centre offers hands-on entertainment and education for all ages and includes cockpit controls, co-ordination tests, engine lifting, air speed, drop zone, pilot testing and more.

    The Museum is ideal for group visits, being within easy reach of Central London and all major routes, M1 (Junction 4), M25, A1, A5, A41 and A406 (North Circular). ADMISSION is FREE and we have a LARGE FREE COACH AND CAR PARK.


    Coach drivers are eligible to receive a £5 meal voucher as long as the group has pre-booked their visit. Meal vouchers only issued for groups of 20 or more. We have a licensed restaurant + café and offer a “Refuel Meal Deal” package to take care of all your catering requirements.

    Souvenir and Guidebooks are available and free 30-minute guided tours of specific parts of the Museum are available on most days. Specialised tours can be arranged for your group on request. There is a charge of £25 (max 12 people per guide) and a minimum of 15 days notice is required.

    Opening Hours:

    Open 10am – 6pm all year (except 24 - 26 Dec , 1 Jan and between 7 – 11 January 2008).

    Grahame White Factory opens from 10.00 – 12.00 and the Battle of Britain Hall opens from 12.00 – 18.00.

    Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
