Hampshire - Royal Victoria Country Park

Hampshire - Royal Victoria Country Park

Play Areas for All.
We have three play areas designed to cater for different age groups and abilities: two (for toddlers and older children) are constructed of wood with swings, slides and various climbing frames.

The other has been specifically designed (with funding from a local group Play for All) for wheelchair users with swings and a roundabout.
The latter is accessible by RADAR key which can be borrowed or bought (£4) from the park office. All play areas are close to the Tea Room and toilets.
Sensory Garden, trails with easy access routes. Wheelchairs available to borrow.
Free car parking for registered disabled.
Large print brochures available.

Royal Victoria Country Park is an ideal site for easy access. Being the grounds of a former military hospital, the land is relatively flat and there are several tarmac roads.
Access ramps are provided for wheelchairs and pushchairs to improve access into the Heritage Centre, Tea Rooms and on to the beach.
Benches are located around the site, providing ideal resting points with beautiful views of the park and Southampton Water.
